Users of the patient portal and health management of Follow My Health App can manage their online health information, make appointments, access their medical records, and contact with healthcare providers. That being said, Follow My Health does not normally pay medical fees directly.

Follow My Health may offer some features for examining bills or connecting to the billing systems of insurance or healthcare providers when it comes to paying medical bills. This is a typical procedure that you may experience:

  • Getting Billing Information: Typically, the portal allows you to access medical service statements or invoices. Insurance companies and healthcare providers frequently supply this information.
  • Payment Options: You can pay your bills online by using connections or integrations that certain portals provide with payment systems. To complete transactions, this may require entering payment information securely.
  • Insurance Integration: You may be able to examine claims and explanations of benefits (EOB) on the site if you have insurance. This makes it easier to comprehend how much is out-of-pocket and what your insurance covers.
  • Communication: Follow My Health and other portals make it easier to get in touch with medical facilities’ financial advisers or billing departments. Through encrypted messaging, you may make payment plan requests, ask questions, and get billing information clarified.
  • Extra Features: The portal may include options to review previous payments, set up payment reminders, and access financial aid resources, depending on how the healthcare provider has configured it.

STEPS TO PAY YOUR MEDICAL BILLS

Remember that billing is done outside of your FollowMyHealth account. The billing service webpage for your healthcare organization will be displayed to you.

When an entity activates “Billing” as a service, a number of complex setups and procedures must be carried out accurately and in a precise sequence. You will gain a better understanding of the billing process by following this guide for both Android and iOS users;

For iOS Users

Step 1: Log into your account.

Step 2: Tap “More” at the bottom of the screen, then tap “Bills“.

Step 3: Choose the invoice/bill you want to pay. You can also view Paid bills and Pending bills (visible only if entered by your Healthcare Organization).

For Android Users

Step 1: Log into your account.

Step 2: Tap the Menu option and select “Bills“.

Step 3: The first section that opens is “Unpaid Bills”. Once you find the bill you wish to pay, tap on it. This will take you to a page that allows you to connect with the Healthcare Organization’s billing service. You can also view Paid bills and Pending Insurance bills (visible only if entered by your Healthcare Organization).

NOTE: It’s important to remember that even while Follow My Health offers easy access to some billing features and healthcare information, paying medical bills still usually requires contacting insurance companies or the billing departments of healthcare providers.
